No Needy Program
When the kids at Sila Home graduate from high school (usually at 19 years of age), they are not left to fend for themselves. Sila Home will support them emotionally, mentally, financially and through prayer. Sila Home encourages them to pursue university, vocational school or occupational training of their choice. They do this majorly by partnering with YWAM education programs and by helping to secure scholarships from a number of foundations. In order to accomodate more students, however, Sila Home is hoping to purchase a house in Chiang Mai, near Chiang Mai University, where students can live at no cost to them.
Sila Home is for children and youth, but the family here is forever.
Currently there are five students taking advantage of the No Needy Program (Sek, Noona, Cream, Ink, Ploy), but current high school students (Lah) Just graduate from high school and start her university this year with us in Bangkok.
